Hola, I am Mili Villamil

Waiheke Island based photographer since 2017.

I've been behind the camera for over a decade, and I still love every moment of it.

Some of my favourite things in life apart from photography are travelling, dancing, spending time in nature, sitting around a fire, practising yoga, baking, listening to music, stargazing, and sharing meaningful conversations.

I'm fascinated by the way photographs can tell stories and I love capturing intimate, heartfelt moments while having fun.

My approach is all about capturing people in their essence, genuine connections, and candid moments that make you feel something every time you look back at the images.

When I'm shooting, I'm always looking for authentic moments, raw emotions, real smiles, and those having a big laugh. 

I don't usually stress perhaps because I live on Waiheke Island! Maybe thats why most of the people I work with say I have a very calm but cheerful personality.

When I'm not photographing couples or weddings, you will find me on a dance floor at festivals or music events, capturing vibrant stages and the energy of a crowd or I could be shooting a dark sky.
